Dave Spud
Now on its third series, Dave Spud is a 2D animated comedy adventure series aimed at children aged 6-11, created by Director Edward Foster (Little Princess) and produced by Iain Harvey (The Snowman, Father Christmas, Little Princess) at The Illuminated Film Company. The series follows the misadventures of underdog Dave Spud (voiced by Johnny Vegas) and his family, as they embark on some extraordinary expeditions along with the likes of Gareth the Starfish and one-eyed flea-ridden Fuzzypeg the dog!
The star voice cast also includes talent such as Philip Glenister, Arthur Smith, Lisa Hammond, Jane Horrocks, Gina Yashere, and Johnny Vegas as Dave Spud. Brit Awards-winning electronic music duo Basement Jaxx (Felix Burton and Simon Ratcliffe) have signed up to create the music and soundtrack to the series.
Award-winning Writer David Ingham (Shaun the Sheep, Luo Bao Bei, Peppa Pig) also features on the series writing team along with Steve Box, James Moran, Alex Collier, Denise Cassar, Tim Bain, Ciaran Murtagh and Andrew Barnett Jones.
Cloth Cat provided Animation, Additional Design, Rigging, and Layout as part of the series, using CelAction throughout. The Rubbish World of Dave Spud is being represented internationally by Beta Film. All episodes of Dave Spud are currently available to watch on ITVX.
