Cloth Cat is Featured by Nation.Cymru!

We’re thrilled to share that our recent project, Help Save Our Upland Water Voles has been featured by the Welsh online news service, Nation.Cymru! We’re delighted that they have taken an interest in our exciting short film. It is our second collaboration with the Initiative for Nature Conservation Cymru, which tells a wonderfully evocative story, highlighting the protection of endangered water voles in Wales.

“Water voles are now one of the rarest mammal species in the whole of Wales. They were once a common sight along our rivers and wetland habitats, but in just 70 years they have disappeared from over 90% of their former range.”

We created a 60 second 3D animation in Blender in an effort to promote this valuable cause and help protect the endangered species. More information about the creative process behind our short film is available here. Senior Reporter Stephen Price explains the urgent threat faced by water voles in the south Wales valleys and tells us about the charitable work that is being carried out by conservationists and local communities in the area. He also interviewed our Managing Director:

“We’re really proud of this film and put a large amount of energy into it. For us, it was an opportunity to tell a heart-warming story about the natural landscape of Wales and the animals that live here.”
