Whilst the Creative Wales Bursary is currently unavailable, you may still be eligible for external funding! Here’s a list of the various professional development funding bodies that may be able to provide you with additional support if you meet the relevant criteria.
If you apply for additional funding, please ensure that you have left enough time for the funding process! Each funding body has different requirements and different processing times. We have included a general indication of approval times below. Please take these as guidelines only and check each funding provider for their current, up-to-date requirements.
Screen Skills is applicable to creative professionals living in the UK. Please leave at least four weeks for application processing. Click here to read the application guidelines.
Ymddiried is open to candidates who have lived in Wales for over two years, those born in Wales or those that speak Welsh. The Ymddiried board sits three times each year (currently 1 March, 1 July & 1 November). They meet after each deadline to discuss applications. You can contact them directly with an urgent deadline. ReAct+ is open to those living in Wales, offering tailored support to those trying to re-enter the labour market by removing barriers and providing up to £1,500 grant support for vocational training, travel costs and care (including childcare) related to training. They have very specific criteria for funding. Please review the guidlines here.
